Do you plan to open a representative office in China and develop your own business here? Or do you have plans for wholesale purchases from Chinese manufacturers that do not have an export license? Maybe you are just an individual and want to make purchases in the most profitable Chinese online stores that accept payment only in RMB and only from Chinese banks? In any case, you cannot do without an account with one of the PRC banks.
Opening a bank account in China is a strictly regulated procedure, which could end in failure with the slightest wrong step. The first thing to take care of in this case is a set of necessary documents. For individuals, this list includes a notarized copy of an ID, confirmation of residence at the specified address (for example, a certificate of payment for utilities), a recommendation from the bank in the country of residence.
In order to open a bank account in China, you must provide:
- originals or copies of registration documents certified by a Chinese representative office;
- original decision on opening a bank account, adopted by the executive board of the company, with the appointment of an authorized person who will manage the account;
- original or certified copy of a power of attorney issued to an authorized person;
- company business plan;
- Good Standing certificate (for companies existing for more than six months).
Documents can be submitted to PRC banks personally, however, if you do not have enough time, then it is better to entrust it to a specialist from our company. We have been working in the Chinese market for years, so we will be happy to advise you on choosing a bank and help you to open an account.
Many Chinese banks require the applicant to undergo a personal interview with a staff member. In general, cooperation with banks in this extremely attractive business zone is very difficult; foreigners are almost prohibited from entering this market, while foreign companies have to go through a lengthy bureaucratic procedure. Employees of Hong Kong banks are often biased against Russian businesspersons and at the same time do not try to hide their distrust. It is especially difficult in such circumstances to pass through a personal interview, because the slightest mistake may destroy all previous efforts. We offer you not only help in the preparation and submission of a set of documents, but we are also ready to provide the services of a professional translator who, if necessary, will round off rough corners and tell you the right answers to questions with hidden overtones.
Opening an account is a long and costly procedure, but we know how to make it easier and are ready to help you on the first call.
Today it turns out to be difficult to open a corporate account in Hong Kong on your own. But if you really need a company in Hong Kong to do business, you should go on and apply for the services of this company. You will really have a better chance of establishing a relationship. They helped us, they will help you too.
